VOLUNTEERING AND INTERNSHIP
Volunteering and internship are all about showing LSSNMAIA, individuals and partners and communities supported your passion for giving how to turn your skills, ideas, and enthusiasm into a lasting change. Fundraising, Mentorship, Event Management, Research, Membership Club Management, exhibiting local and online, taking on Administrative role and more will enhance your competences, help you connect with new and existing members, supporters, communities supported and volunteers all on one platform.
You will also get the opportunity to network with fellow professionals, organisations, and professional interest groups, as well as sharing knowledge and dealing with issues in common, impacting lives and promoting community health and wellbeing, and strengthening relations.
ENGAGE WITH LOCAL AND GLOBAL AUDIENCE
LSSNMAIA depends on willing and self-driven volunteers to drive its agenda and servicing its members. Our volunteer comes from various professional and administrative backgrounds and bring transferrable skill sets working together to strengthen LSSNMAIA. You need not be a nurse to volunteer at LSSNMAIA.
GET RECOGNISED
Represent LSSSNMAIA as an Ambassador, speak about and on behalf of LSSNMAIA in confidence at conference. Make connections with like-minded professionals and organisation.
LEARN AND UPDATE CV
Develop new skill enhance existing ones. Learn and network to your advantage from public speaking engagement to routine meetings and consultations. Gain communication or marketing exposure prior to and during the event.
Take on a volunteer role in sought after position, get new knowledge, and develop new skills for your CV. Volunteer to consolidate learning in practice then apply for new role in confidence.
MAKE AN IMPACT

LSSNMAIA is the association of all Lagos State trained Nurses and Midwives, including Public Health Nurses, living in Nigeria and in Diaspora.
Graduates of Lagos State Schools of Nursing Complex, 1-9 Awolowo Road Ikoyi, Lagos State College of Nursing Igando, and Lagos University Teaching Hospital, are all members of LSSNMAIA. All current alumni member’s groups can also sign-up with LSSNMAIA.
Join LSSNMAIA Networks, Forums and Events to connect globally. Find us online and on most social media and educational platforms. Support your Alumni Office, and ‘Alumni Affairs’ through the ‘Give Back’ Programme and become an LOC officer.

Officers – Contact us to apply for executive and non-executive roles for representatives, mentors, committee members and officers in your region.
Associate Membership – Approved medical and healthcare professionals, allied health service providers, and final year student who are committed to our mission are welcome.
Contributors – Members and associates can attend meetings, collaborate, and support scientific programmes, sponsor awards and recognition, and other social events.
Sponsorship – Businesses, groups and individuals wishing to sponsor any of our events can contact us about sponsoring our events and with details.

Be part of LSSNMAIA’S community of thousands of nurses, midwives, public health nurses, students, practitioners, doctors. Our wide range of alumni activities can help you both professionally and personally, so that you can focus on what is most important – helping patients. As the umbrella body for all Lagos State trained nurses, LSSNMAIA is here by your side at every step of your nursing journey. We encourage all Lagos nursing groups and associations to support LSSNMAIA.
Recommended Associate physicians and allied healthcare professionals can start connecting with LSSNMAIA for change.
We have opportunities
Active and experienced nurses in and out of service are encouraged to become regional representatives and officers helping to connect with members and to join event committees.
LSSNMAIA officers will receive full support and representation under our ‘retired membership’ development plan whilst they remain on the temporary register can maintain their connections members even after leaving the NMCN. We encourage all healthcare professionals to get involved with our programmed events, including training on COVID-19 pandemic. Our wide range of programmes will help you stay connected with current practice, promote self and professional development, and improve patients’ services.
