
Standards-Based Grading
At the elementary level (Grades 1-5) Logos utilizes Standards-Based Assessment. The student’s mark indicates how well they have achieved the academic standard, as described by the rubric below.
| 4 | Extending: Independent, performs beyond grade level standards |
| 3 | Applying: Primarily independent, performs at grade level standards |
| 2 | Developing: With some support, performs at grade level standards |
| 1 | Beginning: Needs direct support, does not perform at grade level standards |
MAP Testing
Grades 1-9 take the Measure of Academic Progress standardized test, in the fall and the spring. This testing allows the teachers to assess individual student growth over time as well as providing a norm reference to other schools, including EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools.
